How to cook potato casserole with minced meat in the oven

Potatoes 0.7-1 kg;
- minced meat 0.5-0.7 kg;
- onion 1-2 pcs.;
- cheese 150-200 gr.;
- milk 1-1.5 cups;
- chicken egg 1-2 pcs.;
- seasonings (marjoram, oregano, paprika, pepper, salt).

Raw potato casserole with minced meat (in the oven)

In this cooking option, it is advisable to start by frying the ingredients. You can use any meat product, liver, mushroom or fish. You can even use it in our dish.

1. Peel a couple of onions and cut into small cubes.

Place a frying pan on gas, pour in a little vegetable oil, and dump in the onions. As soon as it turns yellow, you can start mincing. We put it in a frying pan and crush it with a fork and knife (or two forks) almost into crumbs. Salt, season with spices and herbs. Then, stirring, fry for 5-10 minutes until cooked. Leave to cool and move on to the potatoes.

2. Wash off dirt with running water and peel off the skin. Cut into plastics 3-4 mm thick. You don't have to do this by hand if you know your food processor or blender will do a better job.

You can also grate the potatoes on a coarse grater (in principle, chopping using home appliances is quite feasible, but in this case, you may have to reduce the cooking time in the oven to 30-40 minutes)

3. At this step, you can already start preheating the oven, up to 180-200 degrees.

4. Place half of the potato plastics (or grated potatoes) in layers on the bottom of a frying pan (bowl, deep baking sheet or baking dish).

5. Then add a layer of chopped meat fried with onions.

6. And cover with the remaining potatoes.

7. Mix eggs with milk, add a little salt and seasonings. Pour this over the formed casserole.

8. Finely grate the cheese on top.

9. Place in the oven for 40-50 minutes and enjoy the taste of the finished dish.

If you grate potatoes or in a blender, you can prepare something similar to. And if there is too much meat, then the excess can be used for cooking.

The cheese layer can be laid out 10-15 minutes before turning off the heat and removing the dish from the oven. Or sprinkle the finished casserole with cheese and leave to brew for 10-15 minutes in the oven.

Casserole of raw potatoes, minced meat and cheese

Recipe for making a casserole using grated raw potatoes.

Potatoes 1 kg;
- minced meat 500 gr.;
- hard cheese 100 gr.;
- green onions 3-4 feathers;
- chicken egg 1 pc.;
- salt, pepper, suneli hops, rosemary;
- sour cream 1-2 tbsp. (optional) and butter (for greasing the pan).

1. Wash raw potatoes and green onions to remove dirt. Peel the potatoes and rinse again with running water.

2. Then grate the potatoes on a coarse grater. To remove excess liquid, place in a colander and squeeze lightly. Add a pinch of rosemary, rubbing it in with your fingers.

3. Grease the baking dish with butter.

4. Divide the grated potatoes in half, place one part in an even layer in the mold, and set the other aside for now.

5. Finely chop the green onion, mix it with the minced meat, season with salt and ground black pepper. A pinch of suneli hops will add a spicy aroma.

6. Distribute the meat evenly over a layer of grated potatoes.

7. Rub cheese into the remaining raw potatoes and break a chicken egg. Mix all this variety and lay out the top layer of our raw potato casserole.

8. Place the dish in a preheated oven at 180°C and bake for 45-50 minutes.

You can use a grater for Korean carrots or cut the potatoes into strips (slices)

Raw potato casserole with homemade minced meat

Another recipe for casserole made from raw potatoes with cream and sour cream filling, minced meat prepared at home.

Beef 300 gr.;
- pork 300 gr.;
- onion 2 pcs.;
- potatoes 1 kg;
- garlic 3 cloves;
- pepper ¼ tsp;
- salt ½ tsp;
- cream 20% 200 ml;
- sour cream 100 gr.;
- Parmesan 100 gr. (optional).

1. To prepare minced meat, we need a meat grinder or blender. Grind the meat, onion and 2 cloves of garlic. Add ¼ teaspoon salt and ground black pepper. Mix and beat.

2. Cut the remaining onion into half rings or quarters, and squeeze the garlic clove through a press into a frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil. Fry over medium heat for 5-7 minutes

3. Throw in the minced meat and fry until it loses its meaty color. Break it up with a spatula to prevent it from sticking. Then leave it to cool.

4. Grease the casserole dish with oil. We peel the potatoes and wash them from dirt.

5. Cut the raw potato tubers into thin slices. And lay out the first layer, using a little more than half the potatoes. Pour in half the cream and sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Place the cooled meat on top, level the surface and cover with a layer of the remaining potato rounds.

6. Mix cream and sour cream, add a little of your favorite seasoning (curry, khmeli-suneli, rosemary).

7. Grate the Parmesan into fine shavings and evenly cover the entire surface of the dish. You can do without cheese.

8. All that remains is to prepare the potato casserole in the oven. At a temperature of 180-190 °C, cooking time is 45-50 minutes.

Serve with sour cream or mayonnaise, it will be very tasty.

Casserole of raw potatoes and minced meat with tomatoes and cheese

Potatoes 1-1.3 kg;
- minced pork 0.6-0.7 kg;
- tomato paste 2 tbsp;
- carrots 1 pc.;
- onions 1 pc.;
- garlic 2-3 cloves;
- tomatoes 3-5 pcs.;
- hard cheese 150-180 gr.;
- greens (optional);
- curry, black pepper, salt.

1. Place a frying pan with a small amount of vegetable oil on low heat. We peel the garlic cloves and squeeze them through a press or chop them with a knife.

2. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. We send it to the frying pan.

3. Wash the carrots from dirt and cut into thin strips or three on a grater. Send to onions and garlic. Turn up the heat. Fry the onion until translucent and golden brown, and the carrots until soft.

4. After 5-6 minutes, dump out the minced meat and fry, breaking it up with a spatula.

5. When the meat loses its raw appearance, add seasonings: curry, black pepper and salt. And two tablespoons of tomato paste. Mix thoroughly. In 8-10 minutes it is ready. Leave to cool.

6. Peel the potatoes. Wash with running water, cut into circles 0.3-0.4 centimeters thick. Take a baking dish and grease it with butter (butter or vegetable).

7. Lay out half, giving preference to large round pieces. Trying to close the holes formed between the potato slices. It is advisable to lightly salt the layer.

9. Make another potato layer from the leftovers. If you are worried that it will be bland, add a few pinches of salt.

10. Wash the tomatoes, cut into layers, remove the stalk. And lay out a layer of juicy tomatoes. If the tomatoes are large, you can cut them into slices or half circles.

11. Coarsely grate hard cheese and sprinkle generously over the potato casserole.

12. Place the baking dish in a preheated oven and cook until cooked for 45-50 minutes at 180°C.

Potato casserole with minced meat and mushrooms

Minced meat - 400-500 gr.;
- champignons 200-250 gr.;
- potatoes 1 kg;
- onion 1 pc.;
- garlic 2 cloves;
- sour cream 100-150 gr.;
- butter or cheese 50 gr.

1. Peel the onions and garlic. Rinse with water and chop finely. Fry for 5-7 minutes over medium heat in a small amount of vegetable oil.

2. Wash the champignons to remove dirt and remove film. Place the mushroom with the cap facing up and cut into slices. Place in a frying pan with translucent golden onions and aromatic garlic. Fry until the moisture released has evaporated. Transfer to cool.

3. Cook the minced meat in the vacated frying pan. 6-8 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally and separating large pieces. During frying, I recommend adding salt and pepper to it.

4. Peel the potatoes and wash them of dirt. Coarsely grate or cut into slices 0.3-0.5 cm thick.

5. Take a baking dish. Grease the inner surface with a piece of butter. Place the potatoes and add a little salt. Level and place a layer of meat on top, then mushrooms.

6. Pour in the sour cream and carefully smooth it out using a tablespoon. Stick small pieces of butter in different places or simply grate the cheese.

7. Preheat the oven to 180-190°C and place the potato casserole there for 40-50 minutes. Thanks to the meat and mushrooms, this dish turns out to be denser and more satisfying.

You can use other mushrooms, even dried ones, but they will have to be soaked or boiled in advance.
