Recipes for cocktails with liqueurs. Cocktails with liqueur: delicate taste, rich history Cocktails with liqueur are simple

Multi-colored cocktails with liqueur have not lost popularity for many decades. The variety of ingredients allows bartenders to come up with new compositions using classic recipes as a base.

General rules for preparing cocktails with liqueur

It’s easy to compose a composition according to a ready-made recipe, even at home. But attempts by a home winemaker to make a new cocktail based on sweet alcohol can be unsuccessful. This occurs due to ignorance of the rules that must be followed when mixing:

  1. When working with a ready-made recipe, it is necessary to strictly observe the proportions and make them of high quality for cocktails. Classic mixtures have a special bouquet of flavors, which is easy to disrupt when changing the number of components.
  2. When composing your own composition, you need to remember that not a single component should destroy the taste and aroma of others. All ingredients harmoniously complement each other and reveal themselves gradually.
  3. A good cocktail contains no more than 5 ingredients. When using liqueurs and strong alcohol with their own distinct aroma, it is better to limit yourself to 2-3 components.
  4. Strong drinks, including tequila, rum, vodka, etc., are served in quantities of 50-100 ml in a special small cocktail glass. For weaker cocktails with non-alcoholic ingredients, large highball glasses are needed.
  5. The ice cubes should be the size of a walnut. They will melt slowly and will not spoil the taste of the drink. Fine crushed ice is often used to cool the drink while mixing, and then strained.

Cocktails with coffee liqueur

A simple, yet strong and delicious men's mix can be made with just 2 ingredients. An example of a combination of vodka and coffee liqueur with its pronounced taste serves as an illustration of the rules for combining ingredients.

Required:

  • 20 ml vodka;
  • 40 ml Kahlua or other

Place crushed ice in a shaker, pour the alcoholic ingredients over it and shake the contents, mixing it. Strain the liquid into a cocktail glass and serve as an aperitif.

A soft version of a refreshing cocktail with coffee liqueur is suitable for women. Despite the pleasant creamy chocolate taste, it contains a large portion of strong alcohol, so you need to drink it with caution.

The “Chocolate Passion” cocktail is prepared from:

  • 250 ml hot chocolate;
  • 50 ml;
  • 50 ml Kahlua;
  • 1 raw chicken yolk;
  • whipped cream.

Make hot chocolate ahead of time and cool completely. Fill the shaker bowl with ice, leaving room for the remaining ingredients. Pour in all ingredients except cream. Shake the shaker well, trying to mix the ingredients as much as possible. Strain into a highball glass with a capacity of at least 400 ml. Garnish the drink with whipped cream and serve with a straw.

The classic B-52 cocktail also contains coffee liqueur. When preparing it, you must follow special rules. You only need 3 ingredients:

  • 50 ml Kahlua coffee liqueur;
  • 50 ml Bailey's Irish cream;
  • 50 ml Cointreau.

Pour a portion of Kahlua into the bottom of the glass. Trying not to mix the layers, pour in Baileys - it is convenient to pour it in a slow stream over the back of a spoon or along the blade of a knife. Pour Cointreau using the same method. The cocktail should present 3 separate layers with clear boundaries, so for an effective presentation, the bartender should practice in advance.

Cocktail. To drink this mixture you need a straw.

Cocktails with milk liqueur

Premium liqueurs based on cream and milk (Baileys, Advocate, Brogans, etc.) are quite expensive, but there are more budget options for such drinks:

  • Vittorio Morello (Russia) - drinks with milky and fruity flavors;
  • Creamfield (Russia) - an analogue of Baileys;
  • Duleyz (Germany) - reminiscent of Baileys, but sweeter;
  • Kanari (Ukraine) - cream liqueurs, there are also drinks with fruit additives.

Such drinks can be used in cocktails, replacing classic Baileys.

For example, the recipe for the ladies’ cocktail “Summer Queen” requires the inclusion of Baileys, but if replaced with a creamy fruit liqueur, the quality of the drink will not be affected. Required:

  • 10 ml milk liqueur;
  • 20 ml - blackberry;
  • 10 ml - orange;
  • 15 ml coconut syrup;
  • 1 cup crushed ice;
  • 15 g strawberries (fresh or frozen);
  • for decoration: carambola slice, pomegranate seeds, cocktail cherry.

Place strawberries in a blender bowl and pour in alcohol and syrup. Beat on high speed for 10 seconds, add some ice and beat for another 5 seconds.

Place crushed ice in a glass and pour the alcohol mixture into it. Stir with a bar spoon, garnish with pomegranate, carambola, add a cherry and serve with a straw to the dessert table.

Lovers of coconut flavor will love the Raffaello cocktail. To prepare it, you need to prepare a glass by moistening the edges with syrup and dipping them in white coconut.

Ingredients required for the cocktail:

  • 15 ml Baileys Irish cream or;
  • 15 ml coconut liqueur;
  • 15 ml vanilla syrup;
  • a few ice cubes.

Place ice in a shaker, pour in syrup and liqueurs. Shake to mix and strain into a garnished cocktail glass.

A delicious cocktail with ice cream is perfect as a dessert. It can be served in addition to sweet dishes.

To prepare 1 serving of milkshake with liqueur, mix 10 g of soft ice cream, 100 ml of milk and 40 ml of Irish cream in a blender bowl. When using Morello drinks with fruit, you can get a rich assortment of flavors. Beat the mixture well with a blender (until foam), pour into a highball glass and serve with a straw. If the drink is being prepared for several people, then you can prepare all the portions together, pouring the finished drink into glasses.

A cocktail with milk liqueur can also have a brutal masculine character. To create "Hiroshima" you need:

  • 20 ml of transparent sambuca;
  • 10 ml Baileys;
  • 20 ml;
  • 5 ml grenadine syrup.

The components must be poured in layers without mixing: first sambuca, then cream liqueur and absinthe. Remove the knife used to pour the alcohol and pour in the grenadine. At the bottom, in a transparent layer, it will create a beautiful effect.

The cocktail is served as an aperitif. You need to drink it quickly to appreciate the strength and bouquet of the drink.

Cocktails with vanilla liqueur

A simple but pleasant drink is made from a combination of cognac and vanilla liqueur. Cognac notes are successfully complemented by the aroma of vanilla, and the addition of cream makes the taste of the mix soft. Mix in a blender bowl:

  • 30 ml cognac;
  • 30 ml vanilla liqueur;
  • 75 ml cream.

Pour into a cold glass and serve with a straw.

The recipe for a cocktail with Madame liqueur is also suitable for men. Mix:

  • 30 ml melon liqueur;
  • 20 ml vanilla;
  • 20 ml light rum;
  • 20 ml lime juice;
  • ice cubes.

A cocktail is a wonderful refreshing drink consisting of a mixture of one or more alcoholic drinks with various fillers (syrup, milk, honey, etc.). The cocktail has always been considered a woman's drink, and the point here is not at all in its strength. Have you ever heard the expression “let’s have a cocktail” in a purely male company? It’s unlikely, because cocktails with liqueur, champagne, strawberries and wonderful whipped cream have always been a purely female prerogative. Well, which of us in our right mind and good memory would refuse an evening cocktail with liqueur, especially if it is served in a romantic setting?

Cocktail with liqueur: history of origin

Perhaps the most popular ingredient for cocktails has been and remains liqueur. This is not surprising: it is hardly possible to imagine at least one alcoholic drink that has such a wide variety of consistencies, colors and tastes. It is difficult to say when recipes for cocktails with liqueur appeared, but the first official document in history indicating the appearance of the liqueur itself dates back to 1575 - it was invented by a Dutch physician. Recipes for such famous liqueurs as Curacao, Galliano, Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Benedict were invented back in the nineteenth century, and are still successfully used to prepare alcoholic cocktails.

The cocktails themselves appeared about two hundred years ago. Already in 1862, the first book devoted to recipes for making cocktails was published. Unfortunately, it is impossible to name the inventor of this drink, because mixing a couple of drinks and serving them to the table is a simple matter. But the cocktail received truly popular love in America, during the period of Prohibition. Alcohol was banned then, but taverns continued to exist, albeit underground. It was in these secret drinking establishments that master bartenders came up with a way to hide the taste of strong drinks by mixing them with lemonade and juice. Prohibition was repealed, and bartenders continued to hone their skills in making cocktails - a drink so beloved by the people.

No less interesting is the origin of the word “cocktail” itself: believe it or not, linguists offer a good dozen versions of the appearance of this word. According to the most popular of them, the cocktail is “Cock’ Tail”, a rooster’s tail. The essence of the story is that a certain American, the owner of a tavern, was an ardent fan of cockfighting. Once his precious bird disappeared, and one young lieutenant (this was during the Revolutionary War) found the rooster and returned it to its owner safe and sound. To celebrate, the happy owner decided to marry his only daughter to the lieutenant, and immediately forced her to prepare the best refreshing drink for her future husband. The girl was not at a loss and mixed Kentucky whiskey, homemade wine and bitters. Guests drank the new drink with pleasure, toasting to the “Cock’ Tail” - a rooster’s tail from which not a single feather fell.

Cocktail recipes with liqueur

Cocktail “Grasshopper”

This cocktail got its name due to the fact that one of its ingredients is green liqueur. This drink was so popular that a joke was dedicated to it.

The grasshopper entered the establishment and jumped onto the bar, and the bartender said to him:

  • Thirty milliliters of semi-sweet champagne;
  • A few drops of cream.

Whisk the liqueur with champagne and pour into glasses. Add a few drops of cream to each glass.

Cocktail "B-52"

There are several versions of the origin of the name of this cocktail, but the most popular is the following: the drink appeared around the same time as the release of the Boeing B-52 “Stratofortress” bomber. Moreover, these ready-made cocktails with liqueur are very reminiscent of a smaller copy of the nuclear bomb that the plane was transporting.

This drink is for extreme drinkers, because it is set on fire before drinking. To avoid getting burned, drink this cocktail through a straw, starting from the bottom layer.

  • Twenty milliliters of Kahlúa liqueur;
  • Twenty milliliters of Baileys Irish Crème liqueur;
  • Twenty milliliters of Cointreau liqueur.

Kahlua liqueur is poured into the glass. Then Baileys is slowly and very carefully added (it is best to pour it in over the back of a tablespoon). Add Cointreau in the same way. Set the top layer on fire.

As you can see, making cocktails with liqueur is not at all difficult, because all the recipes are very simple. It is important to strictly observe proportions and use beautiful, spectacular glasses. Well-prepared cocktails are as valuable as good wine: giving off their wonderful taste and aroma, they give peace to the body and lightness to thoughts.
