Strudel is an exquisite dessert, the preparation of which requires a lot of tinkering with both the dough and the filling. But there is also a simplified version of it from a ready-made base. How to prepare a delicious strudel from pita bread with apples in the oven is described below.

For such a dessert, it is best to choose sweet and sour fruits. Then the filling will turn out especially tasty.

Ingredients:

  • thin pita bread – 4 pcs.;
  • apples - kilo;
  • lime/lemon juice – 4 tbsp. l.;
  • sugar – 60 – 70 g;
  • biscuits – 80 – 100 g;
  • butter – 80 – 100 g;
  • freshly ground cinnamon – 1 tsp;
  • eggs – 1 pc.;
  • vanillin - a pinch.

Preparation:

  1. Carefully strain the citrus juice from the seeds.
  2. Cut the fruit into medium pieces (no peel!).
  3. Place the apples in a frying pan along with fresh lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and sweet sand.
  4. Simmer for 10 – 12 minutes. Liquid caramel should form in the container, and most of the juice should evaporate. Do not leave the mixture on the fire for a long time. It shouldn't turn into puree.
  5. Use a blender to turn the dry cookies into fine crumbs.
  6. Roll out each pita bread and sprinkle with cookies on one side. Place ¼ of the filling from the pan on top.
  7. Fold the edges of the pita bread towards the middle, covering the apple mixture, and then roll the dough into a roll. Decorate the remaining pita breads in the same way.
  8. Place all four pieces on a baking sheet covered with parchment and brush with beaten egg.
  9. Bake the strudel with apples at 190 - 195 degrees for about a quarter of an hour.

If desired, you can sprinkle the baked goods with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before placing them in the oven. Then the delicacy will come out with an amazing crispy sweet cinnamon crust.

  3. When the mixture in the frying pan boils, slightly reduce the heat and simmer for 7 - 8 minutes until the apple pieces are soft.
  4. Melt the butter and coat the entire pita bread with it. It is convenient to do this with a silicone brush.
  5. Distribute the contents of the pan evenly on top.
  6. Roll the base with the filling into a roll. Place in a heat-resistant form.
  7. Bake the delicacy for a little less than half an hour at medium temperature.

With added strawberries

Strawberries go well in a strudel filling with sweet apples. Both fresh and frozen berries will work.

Ingredients:

  • strawberries – 180 – 200 g;
  • medium fat sour cream – 3 – 4 tbsp. l.;
  • thin pita bread - 1 large sheet;
  • granulated sugar – 5 – 6 tbsp. l.;
  • apples – 2 pcs.;
  • powdered sugar – 2 tbsp. l.

Preparation:

  1. Place thin Armenian lavash on the table. Cover it completely with sour cream. There should be no unprocessed parts of the base left, but the sour cream should not be spread on the pita bread in a thick layer.
  2. Pour powdered sugar on top of the dairy product, spreading it over the entire surface.
  3. To ensure that the strudel always turns out successful and tasty, you should follow the advice from experienced chefs:

    1. To prevent the filling from soaking the base, you need to take care of the component that absorbs fruit juice. For example, pita bread can be coated with breadcrumbs, ground biscuits or cottage cheese.
    2. To create an appetizing crust on top, lavash should be brushed with egg yolk.
    3. All kinds of spices will help make the filling more fragrant - cinnamon, vanilla, cardamom and any others to taste. You can even add citrus zest to it.

    It is the lavash strudel that has the minimum calorie content. If you prepare it according to the classic recipe, then it is only 202.5 kcal per 100 g of dessert. You can afford such a treat even on a diet, but in small portions.

Ingredients:
- fresh apples – 3 - 4 pieces,
- granulated sugar – 3 tablespoons,
- ground cinnamon – ½ teaspoon,
- walnut kernel – 100 grams,
- thin pita bread – 1 piece,
- lemon – 1 piece or half, to pour over the chopped apples,
- butter or thick sour cream - a little, for soaking the strudel,
- powdered sugar - for sprinkling.

Recipe with photos step by step:

We wash the apples in cold water, dry them with a towel, peel them, and remove the core and seeds. Next, chop into thin slices and sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from darkening.

Sprinkle apples with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon and stir.

We lay thin Armenian lavash on the table. It must be fresh, not dried out, otherwise it may break during the folding process and the dish will not turn out.
Melt butter in the microwave or on the stove (about 50 grams). Or we take thick, fatty sour cream (ideally, rustic sour cream). Grease our flatbread.

Arrange the chopped apples on. Along the circumference of the cake (or perimeter, if it is rectangular) leave 1 centimeter from the edges.

We sort out the walnut kernels, chop them finely, grate them or crush them with a press. Sprinkle the apple filling with chopped nuts.

Carefully roll everything up into a roll.
Transfer the roll to a clean, dry baking sheet. Again coat with melted butter or sour cream.

Place the strudel in a preheated oven (180-200 degrees) and bake until deliciously golden brown (10-15 minutes).
We take out our dish and leave it to cool.

Now take a very sharp good knife (this is important) and while still slightly warm, cut the strudel into pieces. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar and serve with tea.

Isn't it really a miracle? Fast and tasty! Enjoy your meal!

Many people love a popular dessert that came to us from Germany called strudel - it is juicy, light and not cloying.

But you don’t always have time to cook it, so today we’ll look at a much faster, but no less tasty option - pita bread pie with apples in the oven. Regardless of whether we make it in a slow cooker or in the oven, the dough is soaked in aromatic apple juice and turns out unusually tender and airy.

Product composition

  • 800 grams of apples;
  • 5 fresh chicken eggs;
  • 150 grams of granulated sugar;
  • 50 grams of butter;
  • 200 grams of sour cream;
  • 50 grams of powdered sugar;
  • one sheet of thin pita bread;
  • one packet of vanilla sugar.

Step-by-step cooking process

  1. We wash the apples thoroughly (I have a white filling), without peeling them. Cut into thin slices, remove seeds.
  2. Place a piece of butter in a frying pan, heat it and pour in granulated sugar. Stir all the time with a wooden spatula.
  3. Place the apples in the oil, stirring constantly and fry them for 5 minutes. The apples should become soft, but remain intact.
  4. Take any solid mold (a detachable one will not work) and grease it with butter. I have a mold with a diameter of 22 centimeters.
  5. We cover the mold with lavash, trim off the excess, and place the trimmed pieces on top of the bottom.
  6. Transfer the apple filling from the frying pan to the pan and cover with pita bread. You can simply tear it into pieces with your hands.
  7. Prepare the filling: beat all the eggs into a bowl, add sour cream (it is better to take high fat content, it is less acidic).
  8. Add powdered sugar and vanilla sugar to the same bowl. Mix the entire mixture with a whisk until smooth.
  9. Pour the resulting filling into the mold onto the pie.
  10. Place the apple pie pan in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. We will bake for 10-15 minutes. The pie is ready when the egg mixture has set and browned.
  11. Serve apple pie with or.
