How to make white barbecue sauce

With the approach of warm spring days, many people are preparing to go out into nature. Barbecue is an integral part of such an event. This dish is not considered everyday, it is dedicated to any event. In the process of its cooking on a fire, the meat acquires a special smell, which increases the appetite and attracts with an amazing aroma. To make it very tasty and juicy, it is necessary not only to marinate it correctly, but also the preparation of a sauce that emphasizes the taste is also an important point. In addition to traditional ketchup, there are many different recipes. A great addition to the meat will be white barbecue sauce. To prepare it, you will need simple products:

  • 400 ml. low-fat kefir;
  • 250 g sour cream with a fat content of 10–15%;
  • 1-2 medium-sized fresh cucumbers;
  • half a head of garlic;
  • salt to taste;
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper;
  • spices to taste.

These proportions are indicated for 1–1.5 kg of meat. As a base, you can use not only kefir, but also curdled milk or natural yogurt. From spices, basil leaves and rosemary will add a magnificent aroma and exquisite taste. It is recommended to cut various greens there, as well as use ready-made seasonings.

Cooking method:

  1. Pour kefir into a suitable container, then add cooked sour cream there. Mix everything thoroughly. These ingredients are mixed in a ratio of 2:1.
  2. Cucumbers should be washed, peeled and finely grated.
  3. Cut the existing greens into small pieces. A little needs to be put aside in a bowl, then to sprinkle the cooked kebab.
  4. Peel the garlic, and chop its cloves. This can be done with a special garlic press or simply cut into small pieces with a sharp knife.
  5. Then combine the cooked greens and garlic in a suitable container, sprinkle a little salt there and grind and crush well so that the resulting mass gives juice and acquires a mushy consistency.
  6. After that, add chopped cucumber, a mixture of herbs with garlic, salt, pepper and, if desired, spices to the milk mixture. Mix everything thoroughly and place the pre-cooked meat into it. White barbecue sauce is ready.

If the resulting mixture turned out to be too thick, then you can simply add the bases (kefir, yogurt or yogurt) and bring to the desired consistency. Place it for 3-4 hours in a cold place so that it is well saturated with all the seasonings.

Cooking white sauce for barbecue, the recipe of which is presented above, is done easily and quickly in time. This will take approximately 15 minutes.

For lovers of sour sauces, you can add a little freshly squeezed lemon to it.

Such a recipe can be used not only as an addition to meat - the sauce is perfect as a marinade. This method of cooking is used by many barbecues. To do this, place the meat in the prepared mixture and leave overnight in the refrigerator. During this time, the kebab will be well saturated and, when ready, will be very tender and excellent in taste.

It is worth noting that people suffering from lactose intolerance and milk protein, this sauce is not suitable.
